Tulsa to add city pools
Tulsa Parks is looking to hire lifeguards for pool season.

Each year Tulsa Parks hires 45-60 people for lifeguard positions.  There are also a limited number of pool manager positions available, according to the City of Tulsa.

Applicants must be 16 years of age to lifeguard at a City of Tulsa, Tulsa Parks pool.  Those interested in attending Tulsa Parks' Lifeguard Certification classes can e-mail Freiner@CityofTulsa.org. The next class begins February 26 for two consecutive weekends, totaling 32 hours.  Enrollment space is limited, according to Tulsa Parks.

A lifeguard applicant can also get certified through the YMCA or American Red Cross.
