Jog for a Cause

Jogging or walking can be a fun and rewarding activity, and not just for humans. That's why the Tulsa SPCA has initiated a program called Jog The Dogs.

They are seeking volunteers from the running community who would be willing to have a companion tag along during their jog by coming out once a week and spending an hour walking or running with a dog.

Orientation classes begin Saturday, August 29th at 9am for anyone interested in helping out these animals in need of adoption.

Whether you're a runner or a walker this is a great opportunity to help out, put some paws to pavement and get these pups outdoors for some fun, healthy activities. The SPCA encourages volunteers of all types to spread the word - the more, the merrier. Must be 18 or older to volunteer.

For more info visit the "Jog the Dog" section at www.tulsaspca.org.

Oh, those dreaded shopping traffic tie-ups, cars bumper to bumper, that go along with the weekend after Thanksgiving and the rest of the holidays. And if you let your impatience get the best of you when trying to get through some of those crowded intersections, it could set you back quite a chunk of change.
