The Tulsa Police Department was recently made aware that several citizens in the Tulsa area have received telephone calls from an organization soliciting funds in the name of Chief Palmer.
According to officials, Chief Palmer has not endorsed any organization nor has he given anyone permission to use his name to solicit funds.

There are legitimate organizations that solicit funds by telephone, citizens should always be alert of the possibility that the caller is not legitimate. Police warn citizens should never give personal information, credit card numbers or bank account information to an unsolicited caller.
