People starting lining up as early at 6 in morning on Saturday to get the H1N1 vaccine at the Exchange Center at Expo Square in Tulsa.

The clinic opened at 9 a.m. and ran until noon.

The Tulsa Health Department was prepared for the crowd with 28 people giving the vaccine.  In the end, the health department and paramedics from the Tulsa Fire Department administered almost 2,400 vaccines.

Seven-year-old Griffin Jones was one of the people in line.  He wasn't too eager to get the mist, but doesn't want to re-live the flu either.

"I got really sick last year.  Really sick," said Griffin.

Kids and pregnant women top the priority list of who can get the vaccine that's because they've been hospitalized the most with the virus, but there are other groups who can get the vaccine now too.

"People with chronic health conditions and parents with children under six months of age because children under six months of age cannot get a vaccine so parents need to protect themselves," said Melanie Christian with the Tulsa Health Department.

As for everyone else, Christian says the vaccine is coming soon.

"If they could just understand that it's coming.  Every week we're getting more and more, and we'd love to give it to everyone right now, but we are mandated by the government on who we can give it to," she said.

The Centers for Disease Control expects to have enough vaccine for the general public by the end of the month.

As for Griffin, once he got the nasal vaccine, he said it wasn't too bad.  He got the spray in both nostrils.

"First one I didn't feel anything.  Second one was like I was on a boat and got a little water up my nose," said Griffin.

If you didn't make it out Saturday morning there are other H1N1 vaccination clinics coming up.  The list of those clinics is below.
