State and city road crews have been preparing for this winter weather all week.

The city of Tulsa has 58 spreader trucks and 34 plows staffed.

While, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation has 22 trucks in operation.

Martin Stewart says this year ODOT will be using a new gadget; it's a temperature gauge for the pavement mounted onto a state vehicle.

"It's just something that helps us be more on top of these storms," Stewart said.

The folks over Ace Hardware are also stocked-up with window scrapers, snow shovels, salt and de-icer.But, sleds have been the biggest seller.
