A Small Plane Crashes in Skiatook

Five people are safe after surviving a Skiatook plane crash.

A routine Saturday ends with the sound of small plane headed for the ground.

A pilot and four skydivers were on board.

Police say the plane's engine lost power shortly after takeoff.

Within minutes the pilot began struggling to avoid crashing near a busy street.

Witness watched in fear from below.

Officials say the Cessna 182 clipped two power lines before spinning out.

Somehow missing every building before stopping within six inches of a doctor's office.

"My heart starting beating fast and i ran into the store and told them to call 911 and firefighters were there in a split second," said witness Megean Snyder

All on board walked away with their lives.

Some refused medical treatment on the scene.

Skiatook police are withholding the name of the victims until after the investigation.
