Hundreds of Tulsans have a little extra cash given to them by a complete stranger.

"Would $100 help you?" said Secret Santa.  "Are you sure?" said a woman in a Tulsa thrift store.  "Yeah I am sure." Secret Santa said.   "Why you wanna give me $100?" said the woman.  "Because I am Secret Santa!" he said.

Secret Santa is starting Christmas early this year.  He made his first stop in Tulsa and only took 2NEWS along for the sleigh ride.

Only his elf's know his real identity, and 2NEWS only knows he is a businessman from Kansas City sharing his own money.

With a police escort he stopped at a women's shelter, bus stops, parking lots, and thrift stores.

"They needed to feel the love of it all, so what happened there was, we just passed a lot of unconditional love around," said Secret Santa.

Other recipients included the 3 Tulsa police officers let go due to budget cuts.

One woman who showed up at a Tulsa thrift store with only $20, said her children will now have Christmas dresses.

"I was thinking today was my lucky day because I got the last shopping cart! Hahahaha," said recipient Ellen Stanley.

Secret Santa's only catch is that the people he gives money to, do something nice for someone else.

He is carrying on a tradition for his late friend who used to be the Kansas City Secret Santa, and is looking for a Tulsa Secret Santa.

Make sure "Making Work Pay" works for you
Most workers noticed the small increase in their take home pay last year, because of what's called the Making Work Pay Tax Credit. The tax withheld each pay period was reduced. And now that it's time to file your 2009 tax return, you need to pay special attention to that tax credit.
