Tulsa police have called off the search for the body of a missing 13-year-old girl.
They tell 2 News that they no longer believe that the body of Cori Baker is where her alleged killer told them to look.
Baker disappeared last Friday, reportedly after leaving the Union Alternative School with her sister's boyfriend, Marquis Bullock.
Bullock, 18, now faces charges of kidnapping and murder in connection with the girl's disappearance.
Investigators say Bullock confessed to dumping her body along the west bank of the Arkansas River, near South 31st Street.
Searchers began combing the area Tuesday evening, but suspended the search because low water levels made it hard for the boats to navigate.
They resumed the search Wednesday about 9:00 a.m. utilizing divers and a helicopter.
After several hours of searching, they called it off around 4:00 p.m., saying they are fairly certain that her body is not in the area.
Cori's family prays Bullock will reveal where he put her.
By now, they've come to believe that she is dead... and that Bullock did indeed kill her.
Police are not abandoning the search for Cori.
They are going to focus their efforts on areas where Bullock has spent time... and may have hidden Cori's body.
