A pilot program aimed at preventing students from using drugs and/or alcohol will no longer remain at its current location, even temporarily.

Tulsa Public Schools had promised residents it would move New Vision Academy out of the Fulton Teaching and Learning Academy by January 1st.

TPS kept its word and has been scouting a handful of other locations including the old Pershing campus.

Tuesday night, the Fulton Neighborhood Association president asked residents to give TPS a few more weeks to get a permeant location ready.

A majority of the residents didn't want to keep that program at Fulton.

The program is currently on hold.

Administrators say students will be home-schooled for another 2 weeks until a decision is made on a future location.
