Detectives have released photos of the man they believe robbed the Gateway Market in North Tulsa on Saturday.

Detectives say the suspect hid in the back of the store until it closed Saturday night at 10 p.m. At 10:22 p.m., the suspect emerged and pointed a small, chrome semi-automatic handgun at the night manager and demanded cash.

Investigators believe the suspect continually threatened to kill the employees and made off with a large amount of cash. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Detectives describe the suspect as a 30-year-old black man. He is 5'8" and weighs about 215 lbs. He is described as "nicely dressed" and did not act as if he was on drugs. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood over a ball cap and wearing gloves.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call the Robbery Tip Line at 527-0085 or Crime Stoppers at 596-2677.
