In 2005, residents raised concerns about safety issues.
Since then, cables barriers have been installed and the shoulders widened.
There's also been an increase in attention to bridges.
Craig Moody with ODOT say this time he's seeing the public go green, "A lot of bicycle, a lot of train, a lot of busing; that's really been a big topic."
