Local home builder under fire

Nearly thirty area families, contractors and employees say they are owed hundreds of thousands of dollars by the same home builder.

Their properties were being built around the Battle Creek Golf Course in Broken Arrow, near 145th East Avenue and Omaha.

"Whether or not we will ever live in this house is unknown at this point," homeowner Nikki Provin said.

The families have joined together in their fight against Grant Cole; they say he runs Xite Homes and Oklahoma New Homes.

But, no one's heard from Cole and his offices in South Tulsa appear to be shutdown.

"I'm a patient man, but my patience is gone," said Kenneth Lewis.

He put a $15,000 dollar deposit down several months ago; there's been no movement on the property.

"We've got close to $250,000 (invested) in to it," said Carl Wortham, whose home is 80 percent complete.

He says the contractors have all left because they haven't been paid by the builder.

Cole has not returned any calls from 2NEWS.
