Having recently lost a co-worker to breast cancer and the large number of employees touched by this horrible disease many were anxious to give their time, talents, and torso casts to help the cause!
Three KJRH artist-created torsos will be among 30 up for auction this Sunday, October 25th, at the Gala and Auction to support
Tulsa Project Woman and
Breast Impressions.
Business leaders and media representatives had their torsos cast in plaster and local artists decorated each one.
During the
2009 Gala this Sunday, 7pm at Woodland Hills Mall the torsos will be up for auction.
Click here to buy your tickets to the event. Or call: 918-691-3874
Money raised will help pay for education, mammograms, diagnostic procedures, surgeries, and plaster casting kits for women about to undergo mastectomies.
During the Gala Channel 2 will also present a $1,000 grant to support the efforts of Breast Impressions.
There's also a
2010 calendar available featuring inspiring breast cancer survivors which benefits Breast Impressions.
