Law enforcement found 44-year-old Baron Davis dead in his jail cell Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies from the Mayes County Sheriff's Department said the taser they used to subdue Davis did not cause his death while the inmate's wife believed otherwise.
Juanita Gnad said her husband was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post traumatic-stress syndrome and was taking at least nine medications right before his death.
"They should have treated him like a human being. They should have treated him the way they would have wanted to be treated if it was their loved one," she said.
Officials report that they tasered Davis twice with 50,000 volts Tuesday after he grew combative.
Sheriff Frank Cantey didn't think though that anything inappropriate took place.
"... I feel that our deputies did absolutely nothing wrong, they acted in the most professional manner..." he said.
Officials arrested Davis Tuesday after he fired shots at officers during a standoff at his home.
While the Medical Examiner's office ruled that the taser did not cause his death, the case is currently investigation.
