Monday night the Catoosa school board discussed the possibility of a four-day school week for next school year.

District leaders say it's not ideal, but the district may be forced to in order to save money.

The board passed a five-day school week for now.

The district would not go to a four-day week until after next school year starts and that would only happen if the district has no other options.

The school week would likey be from Tuesday through Friday due to athletics.

At least four other districts in the state have four-day school weeks including; Gore, Prue, Barnsdall and Central High Public Schools.
