Benge remains Speaker of the House

Oklahoma Republicans on Friday chose Chris Benge of Tulsa to be Speaker of the House.

Benge was chosen after his only opponent, Rep. Mike Reynolds of Oklahoma City, withdrew from the race. 

Republicans gained four seats in Tuesday's election, they now have 57 members of the 101-member House. 

Rep. John Wright of Broken Arrow was re-elected GOP House caucus chairman.
