Wires, foil, duct tape.A mix of the perfect ingredients for a collection of colors over Green Country.This year's tulsa's show will offer a new twist.Country and rock-n- roll will fill the skies as a musical background.The Riverparks Authority chose a different fireworks company to cut down on cost."We're gonna have a different colors people have never seen before like star blue, aqua, some peach and also oranges which are hard to get with fireworks," said Jeff Cole with A.M. Pyrotechnics.It takes more than 40 hours to design the show.Thousands of explosives are then transferred by haz-mat teams.Crew members have been prepping since Tuesday for ultimate show with no mistakes. Sapulpa's show will blast off Saturday night with up to 3,000 expected visitors.Metal belts are strapped extra tight to avoid accidents.Explosives are set in place with extra care. Operators say their satisfaction comes from the roar of the crowd."When the last shell goes off we can hear the applause over the hill and it's great. It's always nice to have an audience show their appreciation," said Bart Helms with Western Enterprises.Officials hope the public will come out and celebrate.Showing pride while exercising their freedom.
