Tulsa to add city pools
Tulsa's Turner Park Pool will be open this summer.  The city had not planned to open that pool, but sponsors and the neighborhood association pitched in with the necessary money.

Admission will be free. Turner Pool should be open to the public on June 15.

8 city pools will be open this summer. 

They are:
Lacy Park 2134 N. Madison Place
McClure Park 7440 E. 7th Street
Manion Park 3003 E. 56th Street
Reed Park 4233 S. Yukon
Zeigler Park 3903 W. 4th Street
Berry Park 5002 N. Wheeling
Whiteside Park 4009 S. Pittsburg
Turner Park3503 East 5th Place

Nancy Atwater, Director for Tulsa Parks, said over $135,000 has been raised this year for pools.  Tulsa Parks is still looking for another $17,500.
 
Anyone who wants to help sponsor the summer pool program should contact Park Friends at 596-2113.
