There are more than 5.3-million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease, and the local chapter of the alzheimer's association is doing its best to try to stop the numbers from getting worse.
Monday they brought in about 100 influential Green Country women, who Alzheimer's Association leaders hope can be the voices of change.
Meryl Comer, a caretaker whos husband was diagnosed in his 50's, spoke to the group about her daily battle with the disease.
It has financially strapped her family and experts say it could cripple the health care system.
