A 14-year-old boy was been killed Wednesday in east Tulsa.

It happened just after 5 p.m. at the Birch Place Apartments. That's near 31st Street & Highway 169.

Police say witnesses are not helping in their search for boy's killer.

Investigators believe the boy was walking along the street by the complex when he exchanged words with a group pf Hispanic men in a brown Ford Taurus. That's when the shooters got out of the car and opened fire on the victim. He died at the scene.

Tichelle Tiger lives across the street from the scene. She said it was shocking to see the the young victim on the ground just feet from her front door.

"I love kids. I don't want to see any of them hurt. I know I don't want to see my own hurt. It makes me wonder. Can they go outside? Can they take the trash out without this going on?"

Police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
