Young girls report attempted abduction while selling lemonade in midtown Tulsa

TULSA - Tulsa police are investigating an attempted abduction in midtown Tulsa.

Investigators say two girls, ages 9 and 11, were selling lemonade near 3500 S. Louisville Monday afternoon when a man approached, purchased a glass of lemonade and then asked them, "How would you like to make some real money?"

Police say the man then tried luring the girls into his car to take them to a "photo studio." The girls backed off and ran inside for help.

"I looked pretty calm on the outside, but on the inside I was a nervous wreck," said 9-year-old Aubrie Wynn.

The suspect is described as a tall, skinny older man with long curly gray hair and long chin whiskers. The girls told police he had moles on his face and he was wearing a brown baseball cap.

Police say he was seen driving a gold 2010 Nissan Maxima.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
