TPD Corporal Dan Miller said the 60-year-old was asleep in her house near 30th Street North and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when she heard the gunshots.

Investigators found at least 10 shell casings in the streets.  Several of the shots entered the woman's home.

The woman, who was asleep in the back side of the house, was not hit and no other injuries were reported.

Miller said a similar shooting occurred Wednesday night on North Garrison but police don't believe the two cases are related.
