Woman reports armed robbery at south Tulsa apartment complex; police warn of nighttime dangers

TULSA - Tulsa police are searching for two armed robbery suspects.

Just before midnight officers were called to Woodland Oaks Apartments in south Tulsa.

A woman said two men approached her in the parking lot as she was walking home.

Police say the suspects shoved the woman to the ground and stole her purse, firing a gunshot into the air as they left.

Police say this should serve as a reminder to everyone.

"Even though we're in a safe area, (there's) never a time you should be alone in dark because you never know what might happen," said Sgt. Justin Farley.

Police say it's a good idea to have your cellphone in hand in case you need to call for help.

Anyone with information on the suspects from Wednesday night's robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
