Woman killed, man injured in west Tulsa motorcycle accident

TULSA - A woman was killed and a man is in serious condition after a motorcycle accident in west Tulsa Saturday night.

Just after 7 p.m. police and fire were called to West 23rd St. and South Jackson Ave. after the man and woman were thrown from their motorcycle. Their names and ages have not been released.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was transported to St. John Medical Center, EMSA spokesman Chris Stevens said.

Tulsa Police Cpl. Brandon Disney said the man and woman were chasing a hit-and-run suspect that had tapped another motorcycle riding in their group after a barbeque at Chandler Park earlier Saturday.

The man and woman chasing the hit-and-run driver lost control before getting to the bridge, Disney said.

Police say the hit-and-run suspect was driving a white Lincoln town car and is described as white man, in his twenties with a blond crew cut.
