A winter weather advisory is in effect for Tulsa County and other parts of Green Country Tuesday afternoon.
The advisory is in effect until 9 p.m.
EMSA officials said medics have responded to 23 vehicle crashes since 10 a.m. likely caused by wet conditions and low visibility in the Tulsa area.
Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews are treating highways and bridges throughout central Oklahoma from Kansas to nearly Texas.
Drivers should be be alert for slick spots and black ice throughout the evening.
