What people are doing on Christmas Day in Tulsa: Movies, Winterfest, volunteering, family time

TULSA - Once the gifts have been unwrapped, what's next?

We asked our Facebook friends that very question.

We got a lot of responses such as working, cooking or spending time with family.

Julie McComb said she was taking her kids to help serve Christmas meals to those in need in Claremore.

Robin Mattingly commented that she's going to see The Hobbit at the movie theater.

James Alan Pate and Keith Miller said they're working. James is a police officer. Keith is a firefighter. Thank you to both of you.

And it looks like Ryan Jumper is hanging drywall. Have fun Ryan!

There aren't a lot of stores open so shopping isn't really an option. But most movie theaters in Tulsa are open, with some having showings as early as 11 a.m.

The ice rink at Winterfest in downtown is open from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. And it's Warmth Wednesday which means you can get half price skate rental with a donation of a blanket, coat, scarf or gloves. The carriage rides are available between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

However you spent the day, we hope you had a Merry Christmas!
