TULSA - A Tulsa area QuikTrip was targeted by thieves early Tuesday, making this the third QuikTrip robbery attempt since Saturday.
Tulsa police were called to the store on the corner of 23rd Street and Southwest Boulevard around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say two to three black males entered the store while wearing dark clothing and bandanas to cover their faces. They pointed a gun at the clerk, exchanged words and took off with two carts of cigarettes.
Police could not say if this is related to the other robberies. On Monday, the QT at 49th and Peoria was targeted in an armed robbery. On Sunday, an attempted robbery was called in at the QT at Garnett and I-244.
Five other armed robberies or attempted robberies have been reported at Subways, Dollar General and other gas stations since July 8.
