TULSA - A water main break at East 21st Street near South Harvard Avenue has limited traffic and appears to have put it partially out of commission for at least a week.
City of Tulsa officials said Monday a 16-inch water line broke just west of South Harvard Avenue Monday afternoon. Water distribution crews are working on repairing the line, but likely won't be done until Tuesday morning, according to the City.
One eastbound and one westbound lane, which are currently closed due to the break, are expected to remain closed for the next week to 10 days until the roadway is repaired. With more severe winter weather expected Tuesday, the repairs might not meet that timetable.
Water service to businesses and residences along 21st Street may be affected by the break, the City reports, but will return once the line is repaired.
