TULSA - Two women impacted by the May 20 Moore tornado got a huge treat at Friday night's Blake Shelton concert at the BOK Center.
Susan DeWitt and Dawn Gomez both lost their homes in the storm. Since then, they say the outpouring of support has been huge. "It's been awesome," said DeWittt.
Friday's concert is just one more example of two groups lending a hand.
Dewitt and Gomez's employer, JCPenney, teamed up with Shelton to organize a special meet-and-greet before the show.
The women were led backstage and had the opportunity to shake hands and take pictures with the superstar. "It's wonderful to be able to meet somebody like that, that actually helped us out during the storms, so I loved it," Gomez said.
Shelton's "Healing in the Heartland" benefit concert raised more than $6 million dollars for tornado relief.
