Victim of attempted robbery outside north Tulsa convenience store shot in chest, expected to survive

TULSA - Tulsa police are looking for suspects in a robbery-turned-shooting outside a north Tulsa convenience store.

Officers responded around 9 p.m. near Apache and North Peoria to the Dash Inn store.

Police say the victim was outside the store when two black males approached him in an attempted robbery.  When the victim resisted, he was shot once in the chest.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark colored Dodge Intrepid.

Police say two women who were with the victim began to drive him to a nearby hospital but called an ambulance for help.

One shell casing was found on the scene.

Police say the victim is expected to recover.
