Veterans Day freebies in Green Country -- food, haircuts and more

TULSA - The phrase "Freedom is never free" is a popular one around Veterans Day.

But that doesn't exactly mean things can't be free. In fact, in honor of the brave men and women serving the country, a number of area businesses are offering up their thanks in the form of food and drink.

Here are the restaurants we've found:

Arby's -- The United States Beef Corporation, Arby's largest franchisee, is handing out free Roast Beef Classic Sandwiches during regular business hours to all active duty service men and women and veterans.

Denny's -- Free all-you-can-eat pancakes from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday for all active, retirees and veterans with a valid military ID or proof of military service.

Golden Corral -- Offering a free dinner to any person who has served in the U.S. military Monday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. No ID required. Dine-in only.

Little Caesars Pizza -- Free Crazy Bread with proof of military status or proof of service at participating stores nationwide.

Outback Steakhouse -- Offering veterans and active duty military members a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage Monday.

Red Robin -- Free Red's Tavern Double and Bottomless Steak Fries for all Red Robin guests with a military ID or proof of service.

Texas Roadhouse -- Offering lunch from a special menu to active and former military members Monday. Bring military ID.

TGI Friday's -- Free lunch Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Military ID required.

How about a haircut? Sportsclips is giving service members and veterans free hair cuts Sunday with valid proof of service.

Several car washes in Oklahoma are also getting in the spirit with a free scrub, including All-Brite Car Wash in Owasso.
