TULSA -- Tulsa police received a false report Wednesday morning that a vehicle which had two children inside of it was stolen from Promenade Mall.

The vehicle was reported stolen at 10:45 a.m. Police said the false call was made by people who were involved in a bank robbery Wednesday morning.

While police were pursuing who they thought was the suspect in the reported carjacking, they instead located three juveniles who were involved in a strong-armed robbery which occurred at a Walgreens near 31st and Harvard on Wednesday morning.

An elderly woman was taken to the hospital in connection with that robbery. Police said the robbers punched the woman in the face and stole her purse.

Those three juveniles were taken into custody near 45th and Columbia. Stolen property was located during the arrests. Police said the strong-armed robbery is unrelated to a midtown bank robbery.

Edison, Patrick Henry and Hale schools were on lockdown because of the incident.
