TULSA - The splash pad at Johnson Park, near 61st and Riverside, is no longer working because of vandals, who damaged the pipes, according to city officials.
A city spokesperson said repairing the splash pad will not be easy and could cost hundreds of dollars.
Many parents were disappointed when they learned about the damage. Mark Kosinski brought his daughters to the park.
"(They) shouldn't vandalize people's property and government property, so we can all enjoy it," said Kosinski.
The city did not say how long it would take to repair the splash pad.
In the meantime, city officials encourage people who live in the area to visit another splash pad or water playground.
