USGS records 2.5 quake on Sunday

TULSA - The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.5 magnitude earthquake shook the Tulsa area early Sunday morning.

The quake was centered about 28 miles south of Glenpool at a depth of 4.9 kilometers and struck at around 4:12 a.m.

The first shaker known to have its epicenter in Oklahoma occurred in 1918 near El Reno, according to USGS records.  Objects were reportedly thrown from shelves.
