UPDATE - A live-in girlriend has turned herself in after north Tulsa homicide; murder charges expected, according to TPD.

2 Works for You was first on the scene Monday in Tulsa's 63rd homicide of the year and Homicide Det. Sgt. Dave Walker told us that a man was found shot multiple times.

Walker said the victim, 51-year-old Christopher Boyle's live-in girlfriend, 42-year-old Sunny Jones, became a suspect in the investigation and she turned herself in to police at about 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say Boyle and Jones were arguing in the front yard and witnesses told officers that gunshots were heard shortly afterward.

A family member came to check on the homeowner's well being in the Pine and Sheridan area and found him dead against the front door.  Investigators say the victim had multiple gunshot wounds.

Walker said Jones mentioned to others that she knew Boyle was dead by the front door and that she had to leave the house via the back door.

Walker says the last time the victim was seen alive was around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The investigation is ongoing but Walker said it is expected that Jones will be charged with murder.

Tulsa set an all-time record last year with 81 homicides and if that pace continues, the city is on track to have 88 homicides in 2017.

"Some of these people that know each other that are carrying guns and then we got the other side that people are carrying guns that shouldn't be carry guns," Walker told 2 Works for You. "This one looks like it's going to be personal."

Walker says it appears there is no way this could have been prevented once it reached the point of murder.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
