TULSA - One person was killed early Sunday morning in a two-car crash involving a drunk driver.
Police say Edwver Ramos was driving a Ford Mustang south on Memorial Drive just before 2:30 a.m. when he crossed over the center median and hit a northbound vehicle head on.
According to the police report, the driver of the northbound vehicle tried speaking with Ramos but she said he was asleep and snoring.
Three passengers in the northbound vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but a passenger in Ramos' car was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the police report, "Ramos showed excessive signs of intoxication" and could not complete a field sobriety test.
Police say several open containers of beer were found in the front and back seats.
Ramos was taken to a nearby hospital and hours later hospital personnel advised police Ramos was "very drunk," according to the police report.
Ramos was arrested for second-degree manslaughter. He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on $25,000 bond.
