Tulsa Red Cross on Isaac alert

TULSA - The Tulsa Red Cross is on alert as the Gulf Coast is hammered by Hurricane Isaac.

Officials are awaiting word regarding the need for volunteers.

The Red Cross here has already sent seven volunteers to the hurricane zone.

Right now, four local volunteers are in Mississippi, two are in Florida and one is in Alabama.

For the most part they are going to wait out the storm.

Once day breaks Wednesday,  they'll have a better idea of the task at hand, which could require them to hand out food, water and supplies.
