TULSA - The Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting stemming from the fire at Barnard Elementary.
The board will discuss if an executive session is needed to decide on possible legal action against two insurance companies.
The school holds policies with both Lexington Insurance Company and Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company that would cover damage from the fire last fall. The two companies are arguing over who should pay, but the school district believes the two should share the costs.
Lawyers for TPS have suggested an executive session to discuss possible legal action because disclosing some information could hinder the investigation and prosecution.
The meeting is scheduled to be held Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Charles C. Mason Education Service Center.
