TULSA -- The Tulsa Police Department held a news conference Monday afternoon.

At the conference, Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan addressed the relationship between TPD and the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office.

The news conference happened at 3 p.m.

Chief Chuck Jordan addressed the strain the trial put on the relationship, but says he remains committed on working with DA Steve Kunzweiler to seek justice for victims of crime.

"The DA's office does not work for the Tulsa Police Department, and the Tulsa Police Department does not work for the DA's office, but we both work for the citizens of Tulsa," said Jordan.

Tulsa District Attorney Stephen Kunzweiler released the following statement about the news conference:

"As I have stated previously, my office last year handled over 14,000 felony and misdemeanor cases.  We also handled thousands of traffic-related matters along with several hundred juvenile cases.  Each of those matters involve a victim – whether the victim is a merchant, an individual, or society as a whole.  I am confident that law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office will continue to focus our attention on those individual cases to insure that the affected victims are afforded justice.  Our public should expect nothing less."
