Tulsa police search for woman suspected of stabbing roommate at south Tulsa apartment complex after argument
TULSA - Tulsa police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing overnight after two roommates got into argument at a south Tulsa apartment complex.
Police say a woman and a man were arguing when the woman left the apartment. The man locked the door but she returned.
Police say it wasn't long after that that the 31-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach.
"The argument escalated and she produced some type of weapon, a knife, and stabbed him one time," said Sgt. Gary Otterstrom.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where is is now in stable condition.
Police say the woman fled the scene before they arrived.
She's described as a black female, 24 years old, and heavy set. She was last seen wearing a dress with a colored pattern from the waist down.
