TULSA - Police have released a sketch of the suspect in the string of serial sexual assaults.
Officers responded to an assault Friday morning near 400 S. Quebec Ave. After speaking with the victim, investigators determined similarities to the previous six sexual assaults. With this case, the suspect strayed from his method of wearing a hooded mask and boldy showed his face.
"It is concerning, and that's why we are ready to get this individual identified and into custody because we don't want these to begin to escalate any further," said Jillian Roberson, Tulsa Police Department.
The suspect description is a white male approximately 40 years of age, 5’9” tall, weighing 150 lbs. medium complexion, short straight black hair with short stubble of a beard. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and brown leather boots.
Tulsa Police Department have launched a special task force in order to capture the suspect.
So far, now seven victims have fallen into the string of assaults:
First attack - Around 6 a.m. Friday, June 6, a 29-year-old woman was walking in the parking lot of Coppermill Apartments on 71st Street between Yale and Sheridan when a man knocked her down and grabbed her purse and laptop computer. The suspect pulled the victim's pants down, while he did not sexually assault her, he did make lewd comments. The suspect made off with the victim's purse.
Second attack- Days later on Sunday, June 8, a 68-year-old woman was attacked in her home near 42nd and Detroit around 6 a.m. Police say the suspect forced his way into the woman's home through a back door, pushed her down and sexually assaulted her, again while making lewd comments. He stole cash from her kitchen cabinet.
Third attack- This attack occurred June 11 at a home near 14th and Elwood. Police say a 56-year-old woman lost power around 9:30 p.m. She went outside to check her neighbors' house for power and it was on. It was then that police say the suspect entered the woman's home through a back door. Police say the woman was raped and the suspect again made lewd comments.
Fourth attack- On June 12 the suspect placed a knife to the 68-year-old female victim's throat while he simulated lewd acts upon the victim.The man made lewd comments during the incident, which have become the telltale sign for police. The suspect left the apartment with the victim's purse.
Fifth attack- Around 2 a.m. Thursday June 19 police say the woman was asleep in bed at home near 9th and Darlington when the suspect entered the house by cutting the screen on a back door. The woman, who was in her 50s, was not raped but police say the suspect rubbed himself against her in a sexual manner and made lewd comments consistent with the four previous assaults. The suspect then fled with the victim's phone.
Sixth attack- Around 3:30 a.m. June 20 officers were called to Swiss Rolanda Apartments near 45th Place and Norfolk. The victim, a middle-aged woman, didn't see her attacker and was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
Seventh attack - The Serial Assault Task Force has not released specific details in regard to most recent attack. 2NEWS will keep you updated.
