TULSA -- Police have identified two of the victims shot and killed in a north Tulsa triple homicide Monday morning.

Police say 28-year-old Thomas Brown and 52-year-old Cara Brown were two of the victims shot and killed Monday morning.

Police received a 911 call just before 2 in the morning Monday from a neighbor who heard yelling coming from the home and shots being fired.

When officers arrived, they say the home was ransacked.

Police say it appears someone was looking through drawers in the home, but detectives don’t believe there was forced entry.

Two of the victims were found in the back bedroom, one was in the living room.

Detectives believe Thomas Brown's past drug and firearm convictions could be a clue into his death.

They believe his mother and friend were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"I just think we have some issue here with the 28-year-old that led to his death and the mother and her friend were killed just because they were there," said Tulsa Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.

Meanwhile, neighbors were stunned by the brutal violence on MLK, Jr. Day.

"I just hate that we're doing this to each other," said Derrick Morris. "We have to live here and live amongst each other and get along as God sees it."

Police say they are relying on the public's help with the case.

They ask anyone who might have information to call Tulsa Crimestoppers at 918-596-COPS.
