Tulsa native helps moms feel better about themselves

TULSA - We've all had those less-than-perfect parenting moments.

Texting while (kind of) watching your child play on the playground…

Using Angry Birds to get through a peaceful night out at a local restaurant…

Sneaking your child to day care, hoping the teacher won't notice he/she is slightly under the weather.

Tulsa native and Today Show Producer, Mary Ann Zoellner, is ready to make moms feel better about themselves, not worse, with her new humorous book.

It's called Sh*tty Mom.

She sat down with 2News Anchor Erin Christy to tell us all about the new book.

Mary Ann Zoellner started as an intern at KJRH, went on to work for Larry King Live, The Jenny Jones Show, MSNBC and NBC. She has spent the last 12 years at the Today show.

Zoellner is a 4 time Emmy award winning producer who has traveled the world with her job. Turkey, Peru, Costa Rica, India, Qatar, Bahrain, Hong Kong, South Africa and Argentina are just a few of the countries in which she has worked.

She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her seven brothers and one sister. She attended Northeastern State University then graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She lives in New York City with her husband  and their two daughters. This is her second book.
