Congratulations, Tulsa. You're the "Most Budget-Friendly Metro" in America.
That, at least, is the distinction Apartment Guide awarded the city with Monday. The company posted on its website its "Top 10" list of cities with the lowest average rent and lowest cost of living.
In addition to reviewing rent averages across the country, Apartment Guide also looked at the Q3 2013 Cost of Living Index by the Council for Community and Economic Research to compile the list.
A number of metros across the Midwest made the cut, with Tulsa cousin Oklahoma City coming in at No. 9.
So, there you have it. Happy New Year.
