TULSA - Traffic at Tulsa International Airport is on the rise.
Airport officials say passenger traffic in March went up more than 8 percent as compared to the same period in 2013.
They say this increase is due to added flights and the success of the energy and aviation industries located around the airport in north Tulsa.
Airlines are reporting more than 2,800 seats and 99 flights were added in March compared to last year.
Traffic has been increasing since March 2013, when the airport launched the Tulsa Regional Air Service Initiative to attract and retain airline service to Tulsa.
