Tulsa firefighters join in search and rescue after Moore tornado kills dozens

TULSA - Tulsa Urban Search and Rescue team members are digging through the debris, searching for survivors.

Thirty-five members of the Tulsa Fire Department are in Moore.  They arrived early Tuesday morning to search Plaza Towers Elementary School, where seven of their students were found dead Monday evening.

Crews are using cameras, listening devices and canines to search the debris, which has already been searched once.

TFD and other crews are making a second pass, leaving no stone unturned in an effort to find victims.

"We go heavy machinery...we don't make any mistakes," said Capt. Stan May with the Tulsa Fire Department.

Search and rescue teams from elsewhere arrived in Moore Tuesday to join in the effort.  They expect to work throughout the night.
