TULSA - Tulsa firefighters discovered the corpse of a homeless man Tuesday while trying to deliver him a Christmas Eve meal, Tulsa police said. Tulsa police said the man was discovered dead around 11 a.m. in his tent in the 7800 block of East Admiral Place, which is near Memorial Drive. He was 60 years old.
Police said the man died of exposure from the weather. It is not clear how long the man had been there.
Police and a nearby worker said the area is a popular resting place for Tulsa's homeless population.
“We attempt to do outreach for these men and women who do camp out,” said Mack Haltom, assistant director of the Tulsa Day Center, a local homeless shelter.
