TULSA - Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler has filed murder charges against a man who was arrested Friday in connection with a murder in 2014.

Robert Tyson, 38, was taken into custody for the murder of 41-year-old Ray Howard who had gone missing since Sept. 4, 2014. Howard was last seen at his apartment at 3022 E. Tecumseh on that day. He didn't pick up his paycheck the Friday of that week, either. And his vehicle was seen sitting at the apartment where he lived.

Authorities say that on May 11 this year, remains of Howard were found along a rural road in Washington County.

DA Kunzweiler issued a warrant for Tyson's arrest and on Friday, authorities took him into custody in Bartlesville. He was transported to the Tulsa County Jail. The Tulsa Police Department's Fugitive Warrant Unit and the Homicide Unit worked in connection with U.S. Marshals and the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force in the arrest.

The DA filed first degree murder charges.
