Tulsa County budget board unanimously approves nearly $1 million in pay raises

TULSA - The Tulsa County budget board unanimously voted just under a $1 million in pay raises to county employees Monday, providing an early Christmas gift to many government workers.

The board voted 8-0 for a 2-percent pay increase for employees that have not received a performance raise over the last four years, said Tulsa County Commissioner John Smaligo.

Smaligo said those that have been promoted or whose job has been reclassified in that time are still eligible for the increase.

The move would cost the county $960,000, Smaligo said.
