Tulsa apartments destroyed in early morning fire; residents help each other escape burning building

TULSA - Several people are without homes Wednesday after an early morning fire destroyed their apartments.

Three units were destroyed in the fire at the complex near 7th and Atlanta.

Several other units sustained smoke and water damage.

No one was seriously injured when the fire broke out around midnight.

Residents came to each other's aid as flames shot into the air.  Two men even pulled another from a window.

Red Cross volunteers are assisting three displaced residents.

Investigators say at this time the fire is listed as undetermined but not suspicious in nature.
